Part One
- Theory
Lets
start at the very beginning! In classes one through five, you
will learn about the emotional value of scrapbooking along with
the basics on how to plan and prepare for a scrapbook project.
These theory classes present the foundation for beginners while
exposing advanced students to view scrapbooking in a whole new
light.
1. Scrapbook
Basics
What is scrapbooking? Why should
I scrapbook? How do I get started?
This inspirational class answers all your questions on the hobby
of scrapbooking.
2. Tools of the Trade
Which tools are the most important? How are these tools used?
The proper use and benefits of craft tools for scrapbooking
are discussed
and demonstrated in depth.
3. Journaling
A picture may be worth a thousand words but every image has
a story and no one can tell it better than you! Don’t
miss this important class about the profound impact of adding
words to your scrapbook page.
4. Colour
A working knowledge of colour is a must for every scrapbooker.
The concept of colour theory is visually explored in detail.
Learning about
colour’s relationship to scrapbooking will empower you
to use colour in
new and exciting ways!
5. Layout Design
In this class, you will learn that photographs, journaling,
titles, enhancements, colour, line, lettering and shape are
the building blocks of scrapbook design. You will learn how
and when to use these elements and discover the principles of
design structure to give you the tools to create dynamic layouts
every time.
Part Two - Techniques
Now
that the foundation is in place, we can build on our scrapbook
structure with a series of dynamic hands-on technique classes.
All of the class materials are provided… plus space is
allowed in each section for project assembly and reference.
6. Matting
Understand how to frame or enhance a photo with different
matting techniques. Matting is one of the most spectacular techniques
for making your photos stand out on your scrapbook pages. Enhancing
a photo with a mat adds interest and excitement to the image.
In this class, you will learn many ways to mat a photo in order
to create a well designed layout.
7. Stickers
In this class, you will discover sticker techniques to help
get your stickers out of your collections and on to your scrapbook
pages! Learn the nuances of sticker art, from cutting and trimming
to layering or adding dimension.
8. Lettering
Lettering on your scrapbook pages should be fun! This class
will help you become comfortable with various lettering techniques
and help you reveal your own creative style.
9. Titles
The Title is a critical element in layout design and can be
perceived by the reader in many ways simultaneously. Learn how
to Design and Create spectacular titles for amazing page presentations!
10. Punches
Punches are exciting tools that cut shapes from paper. In this
class, you will learn to use punches in ways you never imagined…
create punch scenes, punched borders and other punch shapes.
You will also learn how to maintain your punches, adhere punched
pieces and build shapes into images.
